Unfiltered Rum stands out for its excellent and intense characteristics among all spirits produced at Zu Plun. Thanks to its 60% proof, it belongs to the inner circle of the “Full Proof” Rums. This label dates back to when sailors used to test the “Rum’s strength” by mixing it with gunpowder and set it to fire. It is pretty uncommon Rum in Europe. The “Full Proof” label corresponds to the British alcoholic scale of approximately 57%.
The “Full Proof” rum, also called “Barrel Proof”, is stored and aged in wooden barrels, exactly as the unfiltered Zu Plun rum. In the bottle it has a marked color with tannin and fruity aromas. For Rum lovers it is undoubtedly a “must have” for its dense, noble and round taste.
