Riesling grappa. The Riesling vine variety gives the best results in cool regions, which is why this spirit is typically produced in northern vineyards, for example Alsace. Like all vine varieties which thrive in permeable, mineral soil, where there is good ventilation and cool nights, Riesling too grows particularly well in the northernmost Italian wine producing areas around Bressanone. Here the cultivation of this variety offers the advantage of remarkable yield, with quality and the search for a unique Riesling typical of this region. The wines are characterized by an ethereal aroma and lively taste. Using the Riesling from small vineyards above Neustift, Florian Rabanser distils an exquisite Riesling Grappa of excellent quality, with a captivating fruity interplay and smooth, distinctive palate.
